New Plymouth best place to live best city in the world. I note with some reservations. One being that if the LNG Terminal went ahead that this honorary position could be short lived. As New Plymouth Mayor Peter Tennent said the awards had a real green element. So you can be sure the Paritutu issue was not on the agenda. I believe it is better to clean up your own backyard first, before you go of chasing best city awards for sustainability projects and community sustainability. When we know that in our own backyard that just isn't true. A bit like saying New Zealand is clean and green. I only wish it was and that New Plymouth best city was true. Instead of it being just a feel good marketing ploy. Then we could really have something to be proud of with honesty, and truly be the best city in the world.
